WowInsider has a solid guide to Druid rep gear in Wrath, so go check it out.

My comparisons, for a future shopping list:

At present, I am friendly with:

  • Hand of Vengeance
  • Kirin Tor

And Honored with:

  • The Kalu’ak
  • The Taunka
  • Warsong Offensive

I need to get crackin’ on my way to 80!

I’ve been contemplating a Ruby bot that will check your armory every x minutes/hours and tweet a post about status updates, i.e.

Ithato has dinged level 73!
Ithato has some new gear!
Ithato has new achievements!
Ithato has joined a new guild!

I could see it being quite spammy if configured incorrectly, but it sounds like something neat that I would use.

I’m currently working on a Merb-based Armory app that may expand into a full-blown guild portal website. It’s in a very early stage, but you can see it at my GitHub page if you like.

Well, yesterday I completed my character transfer for Ithato. He’s now located on Lightning’s Blade, a medium/high-population Eastern-time US server. I moved (back) to play with my real life friends Trevor, Derek, Ryan, and Maya. I even convinced Bill to come along for the ride. I look forward to what new adventures can be had in my new surroundings.

I got this idea from another blog, but I’m still tracking down the link for him/her.

Let’s start with the overall view, and then focus on some specifics.

I spent the better part of the weekend healing lots of instances, mostly with a solid Pally tank named Turiaf.

In the end, I came out with:

Last night, I decided to follow in my good buddy Bill’s footsteps and respec to Resto. I settled on a nice 0/0/55 build. Now, it was time to start leveling that last home stretch from mid-60’s to 70 as a Tree druid running instances. I have to say, I’ve never played a Resto spec (nor Balance, so far) above level 15 or so, where you can’t even call it that.

So far, ToL healing seems pretty straightforward, and I hesitate to say so openly, easy. I only had a paltry few hundred spellpower and a decent healing spec, but I was getting HTs critting for upwards of 5k. I barely even got to really stretch my, erm, roots and use things like Wild Growth or Nature’s Swiftness.

Mana issues seem to be rare and only crop up in extended, high damage-throughput boss fights.

I ran one each of Blood Furnace and Underbog and managed to go from 64.3 to 65 in a few short hours. I also walked away with a Mindfire Waistband, Diamond-Core Sledgemace, Tunic of the Nightwatcher, and a Moonkin Headdress from a BF quest. All in all, a very productive night.

Monday night I decided to log onto Moranor, and power level Inscription as much as I can afford to since I will have him high enough to train Master inside of a week.

By following the excellent El’s Inscription Guide, and hitting the Auction House with Auctioneer Advanced, I was able to acquire all the herbs I need for the jaunt from 1-100.

Well, unfortunately this gorgeous theme I used to use appears to be completely FUBAR in Firefox 3. So, here we have this new design in its place, which ain’t all bad. In fact, if I were Resto, it’d be a gorgeous, great replacement. As things stand, though, it’ll have to do. I did most of my early blogging on here using Google Chrome, so I didn’t notice the problem until today.
